                                          Caring for Church and Community

                                " We love because he first loved us " 1 John 4 : 19

The Pastoral Team will support you in all  difficulties, members of the Team are happy to visit within the Parish and come alogside anyone in need, or trouble or who simply wants someone to listen.

Do you spend a lot of time by yourself ?.  Are you housebound? would you like communion at home ? Would you like us to include you in our prayers ? We operate a Prayer Circle to support people at times of great need.

Would you, a friend , or a neighbour, be glad of a sympathetic ear with the assurance of complete confidentiality.  Is someone ill ? Are you ill ? Would you , or do you know someone who, would be glad of a visit? Perhaps just someone to pop in for coffee?

We hold coffee mornings during the year to raise funds for local and national charities.

We keep in touch with babies / young children baptised here at St Philip`s. We keep in touch with folk who have moved out of the area.  We also have a group called Ladybird`s which meets the 3rd Thursday in the month. in the church community rooms @ 7:30pm  The group is for ladies of any age. We enjoy a variety of activities: meals out, Beetle drives, quiz nights, invite speakers / guests etc All are very welcome.

  • St Philip (Westbrook)

    • St Philip's is both Methodist and Church of England - though we welcome all regardless of their background! The church was opened in 1989 - a modern, cosy building, situated next to St Philip's Primary School (opposite the Odeon cinema in the Westbrook Centre).
