              Congratulations to St Philips Warrington

St Philips Westbrook have been awarded a grant of £2000 to develop a Rainbow Garden at the front of the church, including a seating area for those picking up children from the neighbouring schools, as well as people visiting the medical centre next door.

The garden will be developed by the churches men’s group and uniformed organisations. St Philips School children have designed some art work for the garden railings which are being created by a local youth group, of a rainbow to brighten up the front of the church. The church are also adding a number of cycle racks to continue their campaign to get people cycling in the local area. They hosted a very successful event where children took part in Bike Ability sessions while their parents consulted with Dr Bike and the Warrington Cycle Campaign. A cycle powered smoothie maker and try out bikes entertained people and the whole event was buzzing with bikes!

Faith 4 Change is an environmental initiative of the Anglican Diocese of Liverpool.

A BIG THANK YOU to Helen Dawson Faith 4 Change for all the help & support in obtaining the grant. from all @ St Philip`s

    • St Philip's is both Methodist and Church of England - though we welcome all regardless of their background! The church was opened in 1989 - a modern, cosy building, situated next to St Philip's Primary School (opposite the Odeon cinema in the Westbrook Centre).
