Faith 4 Change Comments from their web site
Congratulations to St Philips Warrington
St Philips Westbrook have been awarded a grant of £2000 to develop a Rainbow Garden at the front of the church, including a seating area for those picking up children from the neighbouring schools, as well as people visiting the medical centre next door.
The garden will be developed by the churches men’s group and uniformed organisations. St Philips School children have designed some art work for the garden railings which are being created by a local youth group, of a rainbow to brighten up the front of the church. The church are also adding a number of cycle racks to continue their campaign to get people cycling in the local area. They hosted a very successful event where children took part in Bike Ability sessions while their parents consulted with Dr Bike and the Warrington Cycle Campaign. A cycle powered smoothie maker and try out bikes entertained people and the whole event was buzzing with bikes!

RAINBOW GARDEN
Hello
In February this year we started developing an idea and I am sure many of you will have noticed the project being undertaken around the church to make it more open and visible to the community. As part of this project we are reclaiming part of the land to the immediate right of the church entrance to create a "Rainbow Garden", which is for the benefit of all visitors to the church.
A lot of hard work and effort has already gone in to the project and there is still plenty to do. The garden has been designed to accommodate a block paved area to correlate with the shape of the crosses over the church entrance. A bench will be placed at the far end of the path, where people can enjoy the sunshine on a nice sunny day, whilst also enjoying the plants, flowers and grasses that will be planted as part of a new planting scheme.
